Alessandra Coiante

RESEARCH FELLOW IN ADMINISTRATIVE LAW

Alessandra Coiante is a research fellow in administrative law at the Department of Law at the University of Roma Tre. Her current research focuses on the PRIN2022 project “The New Healthcare System between Territoriality, Home Care, and Telemedicine,”addressing the challenges of digitalization in healthcare and the implementation of telemedicine. Previously, she conducted research at the same department on the role of renewable energy communities within the broader framework of the energy transition. She earned her master's degree in Law from the same university with a thesis on administrative justice (2017) and completed her PhD in European and Global Market Law (XXXIV cycle) at the University of Tuscia, with a dissertation in administrative law (2022). During her doctoral studies, she spent a research period at the Max Planck Institute for Comparative Public Law and International Law in Heidelberg.Since 2020, she has been a member of the research committee at the Interdisciplinary Center for Health Law Studies (CeSDirSan), where she also serves as a founding member and administrative secretary. Additionally, she is part of the editorial committee for the series “I Report del CeSDirSan” (Editoriale Scientifica). She actively collaborates with various legal journals, including federalismi.it where she coordinates the editorial committee of the Health Law Observatory and served as a writer for the COVID-19 emergency observatory of the same journal. Alessandra Coiante has participated as a speaker in numerous national and international conferences and has contributed to the scientific organization of several academic events, seminars, and conferences. She is the author of numerous publications in administrative law (both substantive and procedural) and health law. She has edited volumes such as Pubblico, privato e comunità in sanità (2024), with M.A. Sandulli, F. Aperio Bella, and C. Iaione, and coordinated the volume One Health: Protecting Health Beyond National and Disciplinary Borders" (2023), edited by F. Aperio Bella.
